Naloxone Information

Naloxone, or Narcan®, can reverse opioid overdoses. ADHS Director Dr. Cara Christ has issued standing orders for naloxone that authorizes any Arizona-licensed pharmacists to dispense naloxone to any individual.

Opioids in the Workplace: Data

Opioids (including prescription opioids, heroin, and fentanyl) killed more than 47,600 people in 2017, more than any year on record. 37% of all opioid overdose deaths involve a prescription opioid.
